Greece Speeds Up Economic Reforms

The Greek government has announced an accelerated push for economic reforms, including the rollout of three new European subsidy funds worth €8 billion, a new labor bill, and new regulations for building in small settlements with under 2,000 residents, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

Officials said further measures are planned to boost economic growth, resolve social issues, and improve daily life. One upcoming regulation will support 35,000 mortgage holders with loans in Swiss francs, affected by currency fluctuations. The government also plans to clarify which foreign non-profit universities will be allowed to open branches in Greece.

More reforms are expected to be unveiled during the Prime Minister’s speech at the Thessaloniki International Fair.
