Greece's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 9.0% in March 2025, down from 10.8% in the same month last year, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT). However, it rose slightly from 8.6% in February 2025, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

The number of employed persons reached 4,280,078, an increase of 22,835 compared to March 2024 but a decrease of 29,586 from February 2025. The unemployment rate for women dropped to 11.7% from 14.3% in March 2024, while for men it fell to 6.9% from 8.1%.

The number of unemployed persons stood at 424,575, a decrease of 92,985 from last year but an increase of 20,940 from February 2025. Additionally, the number of individuals outside the labor force increased by 44,889 from March 2024, totaling 3,053,322.
