Greece’s registered unemployment fell to 926,041 in March 2025, marking a 5.2% decrease compared to March 2024 and a 3.6% drop from February 2025, according to the Public Employment Service (DYPA), CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Long-term unemployed made up 48.9% of the total (452,630), while women represented a larger share at 64.5%. The highest number of unemployed was in the 30–44 age group (287,014). Regionally, Attica and Central Macedonia saw the most unemployment, with 278,529 and 174,119 individuals respectively. A total of 167,947 people received unemployment benefits during the month.
