Italy's GDP growth slows below target

Italy's GDP grew by 0.7% last year, Istat said.

The figure is below the estimate of 1% given in the government's Budgetary Structural Plan (BSP), CE Report quotes ANSA.

The National Statistics Agency said Italy's GDP at market prices amounted to 2,192,182 million euros in 2024.

Istat said Italy's deficit-to-GDP ratio was 3.4% last year, down from 7.2% in 2023, and better than the forecast of 3.8% given in the BSP.
