Danilov: Ukraine is 500 days closer to victory

War in Ukraine

Ukraine is 500 days closer to victory, according to Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council.

He said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to Danilov, it took three days to destroy the myth of Russia's military as "the second-strongest army," 49 days to sink the Moskva guided missile cruiser and 61 days to hold the first meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

He recalled that Snake Island was liberated on day 126 and the Crimean Bridge "got tired" on day 230 of the war.

"On day 260, Ukrainian soldiers tore down the 'Russian rooster' and raised the Ukrainian flag over Kherson," Danilov said.

On day 301 of the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed U.S. Congress. "The decision on Leopard tanks was made in 335 days and on the F16 in 449 days," Danilov said.

According to him, on day 361 of Russian aggression, U.S. President Joe Biden walked on Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv.

"It took 433 days for unknown anti-fascists and war opponents to send a drone greeting to the Kremlin. On day 485, 'Prigozhin's rebellion' demonstrated to the whole world the rottenness and powerlessness of Putin's Russia," Danilov said.

"500 days of war. The doomsday clock of the end of Putin and Russia. The course of the arrows is irreversible... We are 500 days closer to our Victory," Danilov said, adding, "It is impossible to defeat the people who fight for freedom and justice. The movement of history of its tectonic plates began and in this movement the truth is on our side."

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a bloody, unprovoked, barbaric full-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, the "special operation", which, according to the plan of the invaders, was supposed to last only two weeks, has already dragged on for 500 days.
