Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski confirmed on Friday that a building housing the consular section of Poland’s embassy was damaged in the strike. He assured that all embassy staff are safe and reiterated the need for Ukraine to receive more air defense systems.
The Polish embassy later reported minor damage to the roof and façade, likely caused by a Russian drone or its debris.
The strike comes amid reports that the U.S. may reduce military aid to Ukraine, including Patriot air defense systems.
