
Ukraine Shows ‘Tenacity,’ Says U.S. General Nominee
Lieutenant General Alexus Grynkiewich, nominated by the U.S. President to be the U.S. top commander in Europe, expressed his belief that Ukraine is capable of winning a war against Russia.
He stated this during a Senate hearing on Tuesday, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
"I think Ukraine can win," Air Force Lieutenant General Alexus Grynkewich said in testimony at his June 24 Senate confirmation hearing. "I think any time your own homeland is threatened, you fight with a tenacity that's difficult for us to conceive of."
According to the US Air Force officer, Ukraine is demonstrating determination and resilience in the fight, which has been going on for more than three years of full-scale Russian invasion.
As reported, U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Alexus Hrynkewicz to be the next top general in Europe.
