Delta resumes direct daily flights to Tel Aviv

Delta Air Lines has announced it will resume direct daily flights to Tel Aviv from New York’s JFK Airport starting today, reports the Times of Israel, CE Report quotes ANSA.

“The decision to resume the route on May 20, which had been temporarily suspended in response to the ongoing conflict in the region, comes after a thorough security risk assessment by the airline,” said Delta in a press release.

“Delta continuously monitors the evolving security situation and evaluates its operations based on safety guidelines and intelligence reports,” the statement continued.

Delta had suspended all flights to Tel Aviv on May 4, after a ballistic missile launched from Yemen struck an area near Israel’s main international airport.
