China launches communications technology satellite
China has launched a satellite that will be used to test communication technologies in space.
According to a statement by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the Communication Technology Demonstration Satellite-25 was launched aboard a Long March 5 rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Site on Hainan Island, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.
The satellite successfully entered its planned orbit and will be used to test and verify multi-band and high-speed satellite communication technologies, the statement said.
The launch marked the 650th mission carried out by China's Long March rocket series.
