The Italian Serie A club Genoa has started its first moves ahead of the January transfer window, with a special focus on strengthening the midfield.

According to Italian media, coach Daniele De Rossi has requested more options in this area, which has prompted the Ligurian club’s management to take concrete steps in the transfer market. In this context, Genoa has made offers for Tommaso Baldanzi and Matteo Dagasso, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

However, the list of targets does not end here.

According to Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Genoa has also shown interest in Albanian national team midfielder Kristjan Asllani, reports ATSh.

As reported by CE Report, for now, this is only a survey between clubs, without official contacts with the player’s representatives. The situation remains to be followed, while the January transfer window is expected to bring new developments in the Genoa camp.
