The Croatian World Games, an amateur sports competition for Croats and their descendants worldwide, will be held in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2027, the organisers confirmed.

Igor Lacković, president of the Croatian World Congress (HCS), announced via Facebook that the event has received official approval from relevant authorities, CE Report quotes HINA.

Founded in 1993 with offices in New York and Mostar, the HSC operates in 30 countries to connect Croats.

The Games, also called the "Crolympics", allow participants to represent the countries they live in, fostering cultural and sporting ties, preserving Croatian identity, and encouraging return and investment in Croatia.

The last Games took place in Zagreb in 2023. Lacković called the event "a shared success, proving that dedication, patience, and vision can create something that transcends borders and connects people".

As reported by CE Report, the Croatian Police detained a Brazilian woman wanted by Interpol.
