Ousmane Dembélé, Aitana Bonmatí win Best FIFA Football Awards
Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé and Spain star Aitana Bonmatí won the FIFA Best Player awards for 2025.
Dembélé, who helped PSG secure major triumphs, including their first-ever Champions League title in May, also won the rival Ballon d’Or award in September, CE Report quotes ATA.
“It has been a fantastic year both individually and collectively,” he said in Doha.
Bonmatí claimed the women’s award for the third consecutive year after shining at Euro 2025, where her team lost to England in the final.
“I will enjoy it,” said the Barcelona forward.
The coaches of the year were PSG’s Luis Enrique and England head coach Sarina Wiegman, who won the award for the fifth time.
The ceremony, attended by around 800 guests including FIFA president Gianni Infantino, was held in Doha ahead of the Intercontinental Cup final between PSG and Flamengo in Qatar on Wednesday.
Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma won the FIFA Best Men’s Goalkeeper award after impressing for his former club PSG.
“It is a real honour to receive this award. I am very, very happy,” he said in a video message.
England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton received the award for FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper.
“Thank you very much to everyone who voted,” said the 25-year-old Hampton.
