Bulgaria wins another bronze at European Taekwondo Championships
Aleksandar Dzhordzhev won a bronze medal at the European Taekwondo Championships in the Olympic men’s categories, after finishing third in the under-68 kg event.
This is Bulgaria’s third medal in the Swiss town of Aigle, after Stanislav Mitkov won the title in the juniors and Deya Peeva claimed bronze, CE Report quotes BTA.
Dzhordzhev recorded three victories in his category and qualified for the semi-final, where he faced Russian athlete Ilia Danilov.
He lost the bout but earned ranking points and maintained his chances of qualifying for the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
