Greece unveils head coach for 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers
Vassilis Spanoulis will remain the head coach of the Greek men’s national basketball team, the country’s basketball federation confirmed, as reported by Eurohoops.net.
The 43-year-old Greek coach will lead the team in its upcoming 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers, facing Romania in Thessaloniki and Portugal away, on November 27 and 30, respectively, CE Report quotes BTA.
Just one day earlier, on November 26, Spanoulis will also coach his club team, Monaco, in a EuroLeague home game against Anadolu Efes, part of Round 13 of the competition.
Spanoulis previously coached the Greek national team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and the EuroBasket 2025, where Greece won bronze medals.
