Albania triumphs against Cyprus to stay in UEFA Nations League B

The Albanian women's national team achieved a major victory in the second play-out match against Cyprus, triumphing with a clean 3–0 score at “Air Albania” stadium and thus securing their place in League B of the UEFA Nations League.

Albania started the match very well, unlike the first leg in Cyprus, dominating from the opening minutes and creating several dangerous chances. The first goal came in the 16th minute, when after an accurate pass from captain Megi Doçi, Qëndresa Krasniqi sent the ball into the net, giving Albania a 1–0 lead.

In the 29th minute, Megi Doçi had another golden opportunity to double the score, but her shot was deflected by the opposing goalkeeper for a corner.

Albania found the second goal in the 38th minute through Mesuare Begallo, who capitalized on a perfect cross from Megi Doçi and sent the ball into the net to make it 2–0.

The first half ended with a well-deserved lead for our girls, 2–0.

In the second half, Albania continued to dominate. Captain Megi Doçi sealed the victory in the 66th minute, converting a penalty with precision to make it 3–0. The red and black girls created several other chances, but the score remained unchanged until the end.

With this victory, Albania secures its place in League B and will continue to compete in this league in the next edition of the Nations League.
