Croatian judoka grabs silver at IJF Grand Prix tournament in Mexico
Croatian judoka Helena Vuković won the silver medal in the over-78 kg category at the IJF Grand Prix tournament held in Guadalajara, joining Lara Cvjetko, who claimed gold in the under-70 kg category.
The 25-year-old Croatian was defeated by Raz Hershko of Israel, CE Report quotes HINA.
"After yesterday's gold, today we've won silver. It is Helena's first time in a Grand Prix final, so I'm extremely pleased with the result," said the women's national team coach, Dragan Crnov.
A total of 231 judokas from 33 countries took part in the Grand Prix in Guadalajara, including six female judokas from Croatia.
This was the final test before the Zagreb Grand Prix, which will take place from 14 to 16 November at the Zagreb Arena.
