Serbia shakes up national team after shock loss to Albania

The Football Association of Serbia has officially announced that the national team coach, Dragan Stojković, has submitted his resignation following the loss to Albania in the match held in Leskovac, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

According to the official statement, Stojković will not travel with the team for the next World Cup qualifying match against Andorra.

In the upcoming match, the Serbian national team will be led by Zoran Mirković, currently the coach of Serbia’s U21 national team. He joined the team in Niš on Sunday morning, along with his technical staff: Strahinja Pandurović, Lazar Tomić, Aleksandar Kirovski, Dejan Odavić, and Bogdan Milicević.

The federation also announced that on Friday, October 17, following the return from Andorra, the Executive Board of the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) will convene to make final decisions regarding the future of the national team’s coaching staff and possible leadership changes.
