Juventus eyes major leadership shake-up in November
Juventus is expected to make major leadership changes during the shareholders' meeting in November, where a new club president will be appointed, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
According to reports, club owner John Elkann is looking for a high-profile, representative figure to lead the Bianconeri, while executive power will mostly shift to Damien Comolli, who is set to be promoted as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Meanwhile, former club captain Giorgio Chiellini could join the board of directors during the same period. The current president, Gianluca Ferrero, who took over in January 2023 following the resignation of Andrea Agnelli and the previous board, still enjoys Elkann’s trust, but a leadership reshuffle is nonetheless being considered.
Fans on social media have suggested names like Alessandro Del Piero and Michel Platini, but according to reports, Elkann may lean toward another candidate — possibly someone from the political or financial world.
Despite the top-level restructuring, Corriere dello Sport reports that Juventus’ main objective remains the same: to achieve a financially sustainable and self-sufficient model, while maintaining competitiveness on the pitch.
Both Ferrero and current CEO Maurizio Scanavino could be moved to other roles within Juventus or reassigned to new positions within Exor, the Agnelli family’s holding company.
