
Bulgarians Join UEFA Committees
President of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), Georgi Ivanov, has been elected Vice-Chair of UEFA’s Football Committee, becoming the second-highest official on the body that oversees the sport’s development across Europe, CE Report quotes BTA
In addition to Ivanov, four other BFU leaders have also received key international appointments:

Andrey Petrov, BFU Executive Director, joins the HatTrick programme committee focused on football infrastructure.

Iveta Bankova, Deputy Executive Director and experienced UEFA delegate, joins the National Teams Competitions committee.

Dobrin Gyonov, Deputy Executive Director, is appointed to the committee on player status and transfers.

Kiril Kotev, BFU Technical Director, becomes part of UEFA’s Administrative Expert Panel.
These appointments reflect growing Bulgarian influence within European football governance.
