Lyubomir Epitropov Named Bulgaria's Best Swimmer of the Year

Lyubomir Epitropov has been awarded Bulgaria's Best Swimmer for 2023, the Bulgarian Swimming Federation announced. Epitropov claimed the European title in the 200-meter breaststroke and narrowly missed reaching the Olympic final at the Paris Olympics, CE Report quotes BTA

Gabriela Georgieva secured second place for her sixth-place finish in the 200-meter backstroke at the World Championships, while last year's winner, Petar Mitsin, rounded out the top three.

Nikolay Vakareev was honored as Coach of the Year.

In artistic swimming, the duet of Galya Penkova and Sasha Miteva were recognized as the best athletes, with Galina Georgieva named Coach of the Year in the discipline.

The top diver of the year is Iva Ereminova, with Georgi Chobanov receiving the Coach of the Year award for diving.
