Romania Provides Medical Assistance to Patients from Gaza

Romania

Five patients from Gaza, severely affected by limited access to medical treatment, arrived in Romania on Wednesday evening for specialized care. They will receive treatment at the "Maria Sklodowska Curie" and "Grigore Alexandrescu" Clinical Emergency Hospitals for Children in Bucharest, according to the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), CE Report quotes Agerpres

The patients were transported aboard a C-130 Hercules aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, along with seven others who will continue their treatment in other countries. Medical teams ensured assistance during the journey, which involved coordination between multiple Romanian ministries and international organizations.

One patient will be transferred to Norway via a SMURD Bombardier Learjet 7, while others will be transported to France and Albania with support from Slovak and Luxembourg authorities.

This humanitarian mission, organized in response to a European Commission request, demonstrates Romania's commitment to providing critical medical aid and supporting international efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
