Albania signs NASA-led Artemis Accords in Washington

Albania has joined the international community committed to the peaceful, transparent and responsible exploration of space.

Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha signed the Artemis Accords yesterday at NASA headquarters in Washington, CE Report informs via the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania's official Facebook page.

The agreements are led by NASA and the United States.

NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Space and Environment Connor Tomlinson attended the signing ceremony.

Hoxha said the occasion was a moment of pride for Albania and reflected the country’s confidence in science, innovation and international cooperation.

“It is a moment that creates new opportunities for our younger generation and connects our country more closely with the technologies, knowledge and partnerships that are shaping the future,” Hoxha said.

According to Hoxha, the step also adds a new and important dimension to the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States, reflecting their shared commitment to innovation and progress.
