Greece warns Türkiye over unilateral “Blue Homeland” doctrine move

Politics

Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis sent a clear message to Türkiye that Greece will not remain "idle" in the event of a unilateral move, such as the legislating of the so-called "Blue Homeland" doctrine, during an interview on ACTION 24 TV.

Marinakis stressed that the Mitsotakis government, nearly seven years after assuming office, has demonstrated - particularly in matters of defense and foreign policy - that it will pass "from rhetoric to action," CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

He noted that Athens believes in dialogue with Türkiye, while underlining that issues concerning sovereignty, sovereign rights, or national 'red lines' cannot be subject to discussion.

Marinakis pointed out that high prices, housing and social issues require political and collective policies.

On the housing issue in particular, he said that the government can point to policies worth approximately 7.0 billion euros, including tax cuts and benefits, which mitigate the impact of the problem.
