White House shares AI image of Donald Trump as The Mandalorian
The White House published an image depicting U.S. President Donald Trump as the hero of the series The Mandalorian, marking May 4, known as Star Wars Day, according to EFE.
The image, generated using artificial intelligence, shows Trump wearing the armor of the protagonist, accompanied by Grogu and an American flag, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
“In a galaxy that demands strength, America is ready. This is the way. May the Force be with you,” the White House wrote on its social media accounts, referencing the famous phrase from the universe created by George Lucas.
The Mandalorian is a television series from the Star Wars universe available on Disney+, set approximately five years after Return of the Jedi, following the adventures of a bounty hunter portrayed by Pedro Pascal.
The Disney film The Mandalorian and Grogu, starring Pascal, is scheduled to premiere on May 22.
May 4 is celebrated by fans as Star Wars Day due to a play on words with the iconic phrase “May the Force be with you,” which sounds similar to “May the 4th be with you.”
The White House has frequently used artificial intelligence to create memes praising the president, some of which have sparked controversy, including one portraying him as Jesus Christ, which drew criticism from parts of the Catholic community.
Former U.S. President Barack Obama also marked Star Wars Day on Monday, promoting the opening of his presidential library in a video alongside Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, the legendary Jedi Knight from the original trilogy.
The building, a gray, windowless structure set to open on June 19 in Chicago, has been compared to the Death Star, the fictional space station capable of destroying entire planets.
