Élysée Palace stresses historic France-Greece alliance ahead of Macron visit

The visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Athens aims to underscore the historic ties between France and Greece, as well as the shared commitment of both nations to European values.

It will also highlight their close collaboration across various sectors, particularly in defence, the economy, and culture, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

This was stated in an announcement by the Élysée Palace regarding Macron’s visit to Greece on 24-25 April.

The statement also noted that the visit will contribute to strengthening and expanding strategic cooperation between the two countries.

It further emphasised that Greece and France uphold a strategic partnership in defence and security, which was formalised in September 2021.
