The Hellenic Air Force has taken delivery of the 50th modernised F-16 fighter jet in the Viper configuration, as Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) and Lockheed Martin jointly announced.

The two companies implementing the modernisation programme for this type of fighter jet stated in their announcement that the delivery confirms the progress of one of the most ambitious fighter jet upgrade programmes in Europe, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

The transition to the Viper version enhances the Air Force’s operational capabilities, allowing pilots to detect, track and respond to threats with greater speed and precision, the statement notes.
