Netanyahu denies forcing Trump into war with Iran

The Prime Minister of Israel has denied that he “forced” U.S. President Donald Trump in any way to go to war with Iran, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

“This is absurd. Donald Trump is a strong leader who acts according to what he believes is right for America. No one drags him into anything. He understands the risk and acts,” he said in an interview with Fox News on Monday night, adding that Trump is a determined, clear, and straightforward leader, and that he has not seen another president like him.

Netanyahu said that Israel is on the front line of this battle against what he called barbarism, and added, “America under President Trump has also joined to protect our civilization.” According to the Israeli Prime Minister, a U.S.-Israel combination produces positive results.

“When America and Israel work together, extraordinary things happen. But this would not happen without President Trump’s leadership. He told me clearly: ‘We must ensure that Iran never has nuclear weapons.’ He saw this as an immediate risk to America. A regime that seeks America’s destruction and exports terror cannot be allowed to have weapons of mass destruction,” Netanyahu said.

He added, “We tried negotiations, but they refused. Therefore, we were forced to act,” when asked if it was necessary to intervene at this time.

“It is necessary at all times. For 47 years, Iran has chanted ‘Death to America,’ ‘Death to Israel.’ You are the ‘great Satan,’ we are the ‘small Satan.’ They have killed and injured thousands of Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan with improvised explosive devices. They have bombed your embassies and tried twice to assassinate Donald Trump,” Netanyahu said in the interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News.

“They have also killed their own people and spread terror worldwide. It is the only regime that openly says it seeks the destruction of the United States and works tirelessly to achieve it.”

Israel and America launched two massive, coordinated military operations against Iran on February 28. Shortly after the strikes began, top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and dozens of other high-ranking officials of the country were killed.

This operation, due to how it was carried out, is said to be studied for decades.
