Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis touched on key national issues and personal reflections in an interview with Proto Thema. Mitsotakis defended his record, citing progress on unemployment reduction, defense upgrades, migration control, and fulfilling 2023 pledges. He emphasized that the government is committed to completing its second term, with elections planned for spring 2027.

On Greek-Turkish relations, he warned Turkiye would not benefit from EU financial programs without tangible steps toward easing tensions and dropping hostile rhetoric.

He also acknowledged the toll of leadership, saying his family keeps him grounded. Looking ahead, he expressed a clear desire for a third term, stating, “This is my goal and I will fight for it.”
