PM Faces Fire from Opposition Leader
Main opposition leader Nikos Androulakis (PASOK-Movement for Change) sharply criticized Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Parliament on Thursday, accusing him of fearing both the justice system and his own MPs after the handling of the postal vote controversy, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
"He’s afraid even of his own MPs," Androulakis said, claiming the prime minister "led the process to a fiasco" to shield former ministers Makis Voridis and Lefteris Avgenakis. He argued that a prime minister who lacks trust in his parliamentary group "cannot remain in office."
Androulakis also condemned the government’s position on Gaza, accusing Mitsotakis of aligning too closely with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. "We will not be complicit in ethnic cleansing," he said, urging caution to avoid international exposure without addressing the core issues.
