Turkish ships safely exit Persian gulf
Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that 11 Turkish-owned vessels have safely left the Persian Gulf since the start of the conflict, following the departure of two additional ships on the morning of June 21.
In a statement shared on his social media account, Uraloğlu said that developments in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf are being monitored closely, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.
He noted that authorities remain in constant contact with ships operating in the region and with Turkish citizens on board.
“With the departure of two more vessels on the morning of June 21, a total of 11 Turkish-owned ships have safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz and exited the Gulf since the beginning of the war. A total of 177 Turkish citizens are currently serving aboard seven vessels located in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, one of which flies the Turkish flag. We will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our citizens and our ships under all circumstances,” Uraloğlu said.
