
Moldovan Parliament Wraps Up Spring Session
The Moldovan Parliament concluded its spring 2025 session on July 31, after holding 24 plenary meetings this year—23 during the regular session and one extraordinary. According to an official press release, the total duration of plenary meetings reached nearly 160 hours, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Lawmakers adopted 260 normative acts, including 226 laws and 34 decisions. Among them were 57 framework laws, 58 laws ratifying international agreements, and 30 acts aligning national legislation with EU standards.
Two key declarations were passed, one supporting Moldova’s EU accession and another affirming support for Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity. Additionally, MPs endorsed 33 political declarations.
Parliamentary activity also included 274 commission meetings during the regular session and 10 during the extraordinary one. In total, deputies approved 428 reports, 179 co-reports, and 525 opinions. The standing bureau met 22 times, adopting seven decisions.
