Sandu Urges Unity Against Disinformation

Politics

President Maia Sandu has issued a strong call for unity amid growing disinformation efforts aimed at destabilizing Moldova and derailing its European integration, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Speaking firmly, Sandu warned of intensified information attacks orchestrated by foreign actors. “Disinformation labs are running at full throttle. Lies will flood from the Kremlin’s trumpets to drag Moldova under foreign control,” she stated.

She rejected any speculation about Moldova abandoning its neutrality or engaging in military conflict, emphasizing that “Moldova is at peace, and will remain so as long as we stay on the European path.”

Highlighting the war in Ukraine as a direct threat to democratic values and national self-determination, Sandu reaffirmed Moldova’s commitment to peace and European Union membership. “Peace is our choice. Moldova has decided—the EU will be our common home,” she said.

The president urged citizens to remain united, reject fear and division, and remain vigilant against manipulation.
