Holownia Endorses Trzaskowski Ahead of Runoff

Politics

After securing only 4.99% of the vote in the first round of Poland's presidential election, Szymon Holownia of the centre-right Third Way party endorsed leading candidate Rafal Trzaskowski. Trzaskowski, from the ruling Civic Coalition (KO), received 31.36% and will face Karol Nawrocki (29.54%)—backed by the conservative Law and Justice (PiS)—in the runoff, CE Report quotes PAP

Holownia urged his supporters to back Trzaskowski, calling on him to act as "the president of all Poland." Both politicians emphasized unity in a polarized nation and shared priorities on foreign policy and equal opportunities for small towns.
