Bulgaria, Poland to Boost Ties

During an official visit to Bulgaria, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Bulgaria’s National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova discussed strengthening parliamentary and economic cooperation, the Bulgarian Parliament reported Wednesday, CE Report quotes BTA

Kiselova emphasized the strong bilateral relationship between the two countries, highlighting shared positions within the EU and NATO, as well as joint efforts in regional and global security. She reaffirmed Bulgaria’s priority of joining the OECD, thanking Poland for its continued support.

Duda welcomed the progress in bilateral trade and expressed readiness to deepen interparliamentary dialogue. He also emphasized that Bulgaria’s Schengen accession, backed by Poland, opens new opportunities for investment and tourism.

After their meeting, President Rumen Radev praised Poland as a key economic partner, noting steadily increasing trade volumes. Earlier, Radev and First Lady Desislava Radeva formally welcomed Duda and his spouse in Sofia.
