North Macedonian Parliament Officials Engage with Italian Counterparts

Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi is leading a parliamentary delegation on an official visit to Italy on May 7-9.

The delegation includes MPs Blagica Lasovska and Dimitar Kovachevski from the parliamentary group for cooperation with the Italian Parliament, MP Mimoza Musa from the Committee on European Affairs, and Parliament’s Secretary General Marina Dimovska, CE Report quotes MIA.

According to official agenda, the delegation is scheduled to meet with Lorenzo Fontana, President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Senator Emma Pavanelli and members of the bilateral cooperation group with Balkan countries, Giulio Tremonti, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, and its members as well as Alessandro Giglio Vigna, Chairman of the EU Policies Committee, and its members.

Parliament’s Secretary General, Marina Dimovska, is scheduled to hold a separate meeting with Dr. Fabrizio Castaldi, Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament.

As part of the visit, the Parliament Speaker and the delegation will meet with representatives of the diaspora in Italy at the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Rome.
