Romania’s Social Democratic Party (PSD) announced on Monday that it is leaving the governing coalition, prompting Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to step down. “The coalition lacks legitimacy in its current form,” Ciolacu stated, confirming he would resign following a meeting with party members. PSD ministers will coordinate with PNL and UDMR on interim arrangements.
