Moldova Can Tip the Scales
Moldovan citizens with Romanian passports have a unique opportunity to influence the outcome of Romania's presidential election, according to government spokesperson Daniel Voda. In a statement today, Voda urged Moldovans to cast a pro-European vote, calling it crucial for the future of both countries, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
He stressed that while there are many candidates in the race, only one path aligns with democracy, security, and shared European values. “Never before has Moldova been so present in a Romanian presidential campaign—how it can be supported, protected, and included as part of the European family,” Voda said.
Today is the final day of voting. Sixty-four polling stations across Moldova are open from 7:00 to 21:00. Voda encouraged citizens not only to vote but to bring friends, relatives, and colleagues along—and to share their participation publicly.
“Moldova has the power to tip the scales,” he emphasized, calling the vote a step toward a shared European future. Eleven candidates are running in the election.
