Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed a 25-year record high in new job positions, according to the latest ERGANI report, calling it a major milestone in tackling unemployment and inequality, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

In a social media post on Wednesday, Mitsotakis said the government's 2019 goal to boost investment and employment is being realized through targeted policies, including tax and insurance cuts, reduced bureaucracy, and active support for women, youth, and people with disabilities.

He noted that 75% of workers are now in full-time jobs—up 10 points from 2019—and highlighted the role of the digital labour card in protecting 1.9 million workers. The government aims to raise the minimum wage to €950 and the average to €1,500 by 2027. “We said it, and we’re doing it,” Mitsotakis concluded.
