Politics

President Maia Sandu has called on Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to vote in Romania’s presidential election, emphasizing that every vote can shape the country’s future, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

"Democracy means having a say. Each vote counts. Each decision can determine the direction Romania will take," Sandu said, encouraging voters to head to any of the 64 polling stations open in Moldova on May 2, 3, and 4.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu echoed the message, stressing that the election is not just a routine political event, but a decision that will influence Romania’s role in the EU and its support for Moldova.

Romanian citizens in Moldova can vote from 7:00 to 21:00 on all three days. Valid identification documents, including various types of passports and identity cards, are required to cast a ballot.
