Kremlin: Putin-US Talks "Useful"

Politics

The Kremlin described recent talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg as “extremely useful.” According to spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the discussions aimed to revive U.S.-Russia relations and explore solutions to the Ukraine conflict, though immediate results are unlikely due to the complexity of the issues, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Peskov dismissed rumors of a planned meeting between Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump, noting that the two nations are still in early stages of rebuilding ties.

He also criticized the European stance on Ukraine, accusing EU leaders, particularly incoming German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, of provoking continued conflict by supporting advanced arms deliveries like Taurus missiles.
