Moldova remains committed to its European path and supports strengthening a resilient security strategy. Ina Coseru, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration, made these statements at the Interparliamentary Conference on foreign, security, and defense policy, held in Warsaw from March 23-25, under Poland's EU Presidency, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Coseru emphasized the importance of a unified foreign and security policy for both regional and European stability. She stressed that EU enlargement should be a cornerstone of the new European security framework, highlighting the need for merit-based integration and energy diversification efforts. "Europe's security is non-negotiable," she affirmed.

The conference also focused on pressing security concerns, including hybrid threats, the EU’s defense capabilities, and the impact of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, as well as security issues in the Baltic Sea region. The event, held twice annually, aims to foster dialogue on common foreign and security policies.
