Moldovan Deputy PM Mihai Popșoi Visits India and Nepal for Key Diplomatic Talks

Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, is on an official visit to India from March 17-19, 2025, to attend the Raisina Dialogue conference in New Delhi, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Popșoi is set to meet with Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, focusing on sectors like agriculture, trade, and investment. A memorandum of cooperation in agriculture is expected to be signed during the visit.

Following his time in India, Popșoi will travel to Nepal on March 20, marking the first official visit by a Moldovan foreign minister. During his visit to Kathmandu, he will meet with Nepalese leaders, including Prime Minister Sharma Oli, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, and Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Damodar Bhandari. Popșoi will also give a lecture at Kathmandu University, commemorating 32 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
