Greek Minister Inaugurates Food Expo 2025, Highlighting Agricultural Growth

Rural Development and Foods Minister Kostas Tsiaras inaugurated the Food Expo 2025 on Saturday, one of Southeastern Europe's leading food and beverage exhibitions. He emphasized the event's role in promoting high-quality Greek products globally and showcasing their competitive advantages, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Tsiaras highlighted government efforts to support primary production and entrepreneurship, especially amid climate change challenges. He stressed the importance of European financing tools for modernization and cost reduction in agriculture. Notably, Greek fruit and vegetable exports have surged from €2.2 billion in 2019 to €3.2 billion in 2023.

Before the official opening, Tsiaras toured the exhibition, engaging with farmers and entrepreneurs to discuss innovations and the future of Greek agrifood products in global markets.
