Trump: Illegal Immigration a Greater Threat Than Putin

Politics

Former US President Donald Trump stated Monday that illegal immigration poses a bigger threat than Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a Truth Social post, he urged Americans to focus on criminals entering the country rather than on Putin, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

“We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country,” Trump wrote, warning that the US could "end up like Europe."

His remarks come as European leaders met in London to reaffirm support for Ukraine, days after Trump's tense exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House. The disagreement, involving US Vice President JD Vance, stemmed from Zelenskyy’s skepticism about Trump's strategy of negotiating with Putin to end the war.

During his presidency, Trump pushed for stricter immigration enforcement and rapid deportations, a stance he continues to emphasize.
