Metropolitan Teofan: Let us use every opportunity to nurture joy and Heaven inside and around us
Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bucovina Teofan said in his Feast of Epiphany sermon that although "there is much turmoil in our souls, in the world and among us", the believers must use every opportunity to nurture "joy and Heaven in everything inside and around them", mentioning that this joy springs "from our faith in Christ the Lord". "We are called to joy. Now, at the beginning of the year, the Church places before us the holy reality which actually keeps us alive. Namely, let us not fall into despair and strive to be filled with joy. Of course, looking inside us, near us and far away, it seems that there are no reasons for joy. There is war in the Holy Land and in the neighboring Ukraine.
