Polish government details new ministerial structure - EXCLUSIVE
In an exclusive interview with CE Report, the Government Information Centre of Poland, operating under the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, provided details on the cabinet reshuffle carried out on 24 July, emphasizing structural reforms aimed at streamlining governance and advancing key national priorities.
According to the Centre, the reshuffle was coordinated with coalition parties and introduced significant personnel and organizational adjustments to speed up governmental work, particularly in priority areas.
One of the most notable appointments is Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, who was named the third Deputy Prime Minister. He joins the current Deputy Prime Ministers: Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski.
“The reshuffle reflects our commitment to strengthening leadership in vital sectors by creating new ministerial roles and combining key responsibilities,” the statement reads.
Among new positions, the government appointed Miłosz Motyka as Minister of Energy and Maciej Berek as Minister for Government Policy Implementation. Additionally, a unified Ministry of Finance and Economy was established under Minister Andrzej Domański’s leadership.
Several ministries, including the Ministry of Justice, now have new heads to better align with the government’s focus on delivering results.
“The primary objective of the personnel and structural changes is to accelerate the government’s work—particularly in areas identified as strategic priorities,” the Centre concluded.
