Poland’s Armed Forces reported that soldiers used rubber bullets while trying to stop a group of migrants illegally crossing from Belarus on Tuesday. Five migrants were detained and handed over to the Border Guard. One Sudanese national was shot in the thigh with a rubber bullet and taken to a hospital in Hajnowka; his life is not in danger.

The Border Guard recorded around 100 illegal crossing attempts that day. A group of 20 migrants managed to breach the border but were later apprehended.
