Poland to Modernize Power Grid

Poland

Poland’s grid operator, PSE, will receive PLN 1.3 billion (EUR 306 mln) in aid to modernize its 400 kV and 220 kV grids. This investment, according to PSE CEO Grzegorz Onichimowski, will not raise energy transmission tariffs. It’s part of a broader PLN 64 billion (EUR 15 bln) plan to strengthen the grid by 2034. The upgrades are critical to support new projects in northern Poland, including a planned nuclear plant and offshore wind power. Climate Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska called it “another step towards a safe transition to green energy.” CE Report quotes PAP
