North Macedonia Sees Tourist Boost in Q1 2025

The number of tourists who visited North Macedonia in March 2025 was 70.902, of which 22.0% were domestic tourists and 78.0% were foreign tourists, said the State Statistical Office on Monday, CE Report quotes MIA.

The number of nights spent in March 2025 was 132.015, of which 28.0% are realised by domestic and the other 72.0% are realised by foreign tourists.

In the period January – March 2025, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 10.6%: the number of domestic tourists decreased by 9.2%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 21.9%.

In the period January – March 2025, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent increased by 9.1%: the number of nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 7.8%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 21.7%.
