United Call for Ceasefire in Ukraine
On Saturday, European leaders, including Donald Tusk, Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, Friedrich Merz, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, urged Russia to accept an unconditional 30-day ceasefire starting Monday and begin peace talks, CE Report quotes PAP
The initiative, supported by the "coalition of the willing" and U.S. President Donald Trump, aims to end Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Speaking in Kyiv, Tusk said, "For the first time in a long time, the whole free world spoke in one voice... and it was not a voice of naivety." He called the proposal "very serious," warning that if Russia rejects it, it will be clear "who is for peace, and who is for war." Tusk added that further sanctions are ready if Moscow refuses.
